AVP – VP CRE Portfolio Manager

This incumbent is a Portfolio Manager (“PM”) and Assistant Relationship Manager (“ARM”) with the abilities to manage both portfolio management responsibilities and client-facing business development conversations. The PM/ARM is responsible for maintaining and monitoring existing commercial loan portfolio and working closely with the Senior Relationship Manager who owns the relationship of these accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
On-going management and review of assigned commercial loan portfolio to identify additional lending opportunities.
Perform annual loan reviews, evaluate, and propose amendments and modifications based on current performance to mitigate or increase credit risk.
Monitor assigned portfolio’s covenant tracking and collection and evaluation of financial statements.
Together with the senior relationship manager, assist in the preparation of pre-flight memos and credit commitment reports (“CCR”).
Shepherd the loan underwriting and approval process with designated underwriting team and coordinate third party requests and reviews of with loan assistants.
Monitor closing process together with loan assistants in conjunction with outside counsel and escrow officers.
Ensure compliance with Bank, regulatory and credit requirements with emphasis on best-in-class customer service while adhering to required timeframes from the client.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: U.S. College graduate with major in related field.
Experience: 5 or more years working in the credit or lending department of a mid-size commercial bank.
Skills: Corporate and personal credit analysis and proficiency in commercial real estate underwriting supporting relationship managers. Thorough knowledge of lending regulations and working understanding of commercial appraisals, environmental reports, and structural assessments. Experience with commercial lending platforms, i.e., “Custom Lender”, “ncino”.
Must have strong knowledge and understanding of commercial and specialty group banking products and services and have demonstrated ability to cross-sell such products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well independently to structure loans and/or lines of credits. Must be organized and detail oriented and able to multi-task. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high production and team environment. Excellent time management skills and be accustomed to working with deadlines. Ability to assume responsibility and accountability for decision-making. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Bank personnel.
Estimated salary range (DOE): $90K to $120K plus bonus, medical, dental, vision, life, vacation, 401K.
