POSITION OVERVIEW
Chief Information Officer is responsible for managing the plan, design, development, implantation and maintenance of the Bank’s system-wide information system.
Experience with nCino’s SBA portal is highly desired. Abrigo also has a similar platform for SBA competing with nCino.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for providing leadership, structure and vision of the IT Department ensuring efficient operation and alignment with the business objective of the Bank
- Works closely with executive management to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support technology solutions for all aspects of the Bank
- Responsible for Information Security: network security, threat vulnerability management, security application, and security policy
- Oversees IT Audit including network infrastructure, application development and other relevant IT areas
- Directs, plans and assigns activities of IT department projects
- Recommends and develops plan for system development and operations, hardware and software purchases
- Develops, implements, and monitors management information system policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security and legal and regulatory compliance
- Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.)
- Must complete all required training
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Core Competencies for this role include, but are not limited to the following:

- Proficient skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; word processing and spreadsheet software programs. Strong knowledge of mainframe and cloud-based computer systems and technology in general.
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, read, analyze and interpret documents and professional journals, understand procedures, write reports, correspondence and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.
- Thorough understanding of management procedures; ability to plan department or Bank activities (setting objectives, developing strategies, budgeting, and developing policies and procedures); initiative to organize various functions necessary to accomplish department or Bank activities; effectively staff (selecting, training and developing employees); directing employees towards the desired objectives (delegating, motivating, resolving problems); controlling the function (developing performance standards, measuring results, taking corrective action and rewarding employees as appropriate).
- Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
- Ability to work with no supervision while performing duties.
- Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
These specifications are general guidelines for the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent/related field desired.
Minimum of ten years of banking or technology related experience.
Advanced knowledge of Bank operations and products and services and other Bank operational policies and procedures.
Experience, knowledge and training in progressively responsible information technology department operations, management and supervisory activities.
Estimated salary range:Â (DOE) $250K to $300K plus annual bonus & equity, medical, dental, vision, life, vacation, 401KÂ Â
