POSITION OVERVIEW
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the all of the Bank’s fiscal operating results utilizing generally accepted accounting principles, such as cost accounting, budgets, regulatory agency and government reports ensuring the safeguard of Bank assets. Counsels senior management on fiscal control and profitability; prepares, presents and interprets financial reports to senior management; adheres to tax laws and regulatory compliance to properly reflect the financial position of the Bank. Directs accounting department activities; provides leadership, training and supervision within the department; provides a high level of customer relations and service; and ensures compliance with Bank policies and procedures. The position of Chief Financial Officer assists in attaining established Bank and department financial goals. Performs supervisory duties of department staff, coordinates staff for coverage in all related areas of the department.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees Accounting, Treasury Department, financial reporting and analysis; profitability and business analytics.
- Manages the Bank’s overall finance function
- Manages Bank-wide accounting policies and systems
- Timely and accurate financial and management reporting to the Board, regulators, taxing authorities and investors
- Manages the Bank’s annual external audits of financial statements and internal control
- Oversees legal and regulatory compliance on accounting, investment, ALCO and investor relations
- Oversees cash, investment portfolio, asset liability, liquidity and capital management
- Responsible for ALM and modeling, as well as ALM reporting
- Oversees correspondent banking relationships. Act as liaison to Federal Reserve Bank, Federal Home Loan Bank and other depositories and outside transfer agents
- Oversees enterprise wide strategic financial initiatives
- Oversees enterprise wide capital initiatives
- Develops the annual budget and monitors actual performance to plan on a monthly basis
- Participates in corporate policy development as a member of the executive management team and ALCO
- Oversees accounts payable and expense control
- Safeguards the assets of the Bank
- Oversees investor relations and annual shareholder meetings
- Manages and controls bank insurance
- Serves as corporate secretary and maintains minutes and records of the Board and its subcommittees
- Performs various projects as directed by the Board and CEO
- Comply fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements
- Drive customer services and help business development within Operations Department
- Provide oversight and direction to the development and implementation of client relationships strategies while enhancing the Bank’s market share

- Thorough understanding of management procedures; ability to plan department or Bank activities (setting objectives, developing strategies, budgeting, and developing policies and procedures); initiative to organize various functions necessary to accomplish department or Bank activities; effectively staff (selecting, training and developing employees); directing employees towards the desired objectives (delegating, motivating, resolving problems); controlling the function (developing performance standards, measuring results, taking corrective action and rewarding employees as appropriate).
- Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
- Ability to work with no supervision while performing duties.
- Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited 4-year University
- Minimum 10 years in bank financial management
- CPA or MBA designation will be an added advantage
- Strong analytical, computer, data and systems integration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis and banking operation and regulations
- Willingness to adapt to changing business needs, deadlines and extended work hours
Estimated salary range: (DOE) $225K to $325K plus annual bonus, plus equity and (possible signing bonus), medical, dental, vision, life, 401K, 4 weeks vacation
